Mission Statement
THRIVE! is committed to changing the lives of individuals who have eating disorders and other associated problems by focusing on the total health and well-being of each person.
Our Program Vision
While a majority of past research suggests that cognitive behavioral therapy
is the best approach, the most recent research on the treatment of eating disorders
suggests that a family centered approach is most effective. The newest research also
suggests that the use of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is extremely effective when it
comes to individual treatment. Therefore, consistent with current research findings, we teach DBT skills throughout the program, and we believe that the client's family should be involved in the recovery process if at all possible.
