Stacy Santiago is an Associate Professional Counselor

Anxiety & Stress Management Institute. Stacy earned her
Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Penn State and her
Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from West Chester
University in Pennsylvania.
Therapeutic Approach
Seeing each client as a unique and valued individual, Stacy uses several approaches to help her clients explore their present concerns and goals for the future. Stacy employs solution-focused therapy along with motivational interviewing techniques to leverage client strengths, recognize value, and define a solid foundation. She also integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy which includes action-oriented activities to explore and improve the connection between thought process and behaviors. To complement traditional therapeutic approaches, Stacy incorporates positive psychology and mindfulness to help clients become more grounded and aware of affect, behavior, and choices in the present moment.
Background
Stacy has extensive experience in career counseling, coaching, assessment interpretation, and communication strategy as well as résumé and job search skills. While living in Philadelphia, San Diego, and Atlanta, Stacy has worked in multiple industries: insurance, recruiting, higher education, counseling and coaching. Throughout her career, she has presented to over 1,000 people, designed and facilitated self-exploration, career, and intercultural communication groups, taught a career, life, and planning course to students at Georgia State University, and continuously acquired professional training in the field.
