Psychological Assesments are comprehensive evaluations of of an individual’s cognitive, academic, and behavioral/socio-emotional functioning. These tests can be used to aid individuals and their therapists in answering questions they may have, and assist in identifying and treating these issues. There are multiple different types of Psychological Assessments services available. These include:
- Psychoeducational Testing: A set of assessment procedures administered and interpreted to obtain information about your development, learning, memory, academic history, behavior, and mental health. In addition to assisting in providing specialized education plans and accomodations in the workplace, this type of evaluation can also help with the diagnosis of developmental disabilities.
- Psychodiagnostic Assessment: Aids in identifying symptom patterns and diagnosing an individual in the most accurate way possible through the use of self-report, corroborating interviewing with the client’s family members, clinical interviewing, surveys, and tests. This helps to streamline the diagnostic process, allowing the the treating professionals to more effectively target medication regimens and therapeutic treatments.
- Neuropsychological Testing: Measures such areas as attention, problem solving, memory retention, language development, IQ, visual-spatial skills, academic skills and social functioning.
- Vocational and Aptitude Testing: Provides in-depth assessment to help you develop career plans. This testing can assist you with choosing a course of study, identifying career options, and discovering work-related values and interests.
