Jenna Dajani is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist at The Anxiety & Stress Management Institute. Jenna holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Health and Human Service from Wake Forest University. Jenna is a member of the Association for Counselors, and she has also achieved Chi Sigma Iota honors for her academic achievements at Georgia State.
During Jenna’s experience in co-leading a wellness program for diabetes patients in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, Jenna became fascinated with the positive impact the mind-body connection has on one’s quality of life. At the Anxiety and Stress Management Institute, Jenna co-led both the Anxiety and Stress Management Support Group and the OCD Support Group. She also led the African American Women’s Group during her internship.
Her areas of expertise include: life transitions and adjustments, depression, panic attacks, anxiety, OCD, relationship counseling, and women’s issues. Jenna has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults. Jenna strives to work with clients from a holistic perspective, taking into account the multifaceted dimensions of the individual. She believes in taking a wellness approach to personal growth, by examining the interplay of physical and mental health. Jenna allows clients to be the experts on their journey as she provides them the support and tools they need to grow and evolve. She has found that the best results come from taking a unique approach to each client, based on their current needs and goals.
In terms of theory, Jenna employs a strengths-based approach as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is also trained in Hypnotherapy and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). Jenna also utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which gives the individual the skills to better manage their emotions so they can live a fuller and more meaningful life. Jenna encourages clients to explore the development of current emotions and behaviors. By connecting these dots, Jenna empowers clients to gain insight and self-awareness on their journey towards healing and growth.
