Neta Weber is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist at The Anxiety & Stress Management Institute. She obtained her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. Neta also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Instructional System Design from Florida State University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association as well as the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor Society.
Neta comes to the field of counseling after 15 years in the corporate world as a consultant, instructor, and writer. Her more recent experience working with individuals with high anxiety have informed her interest in helping people overcome difficulties and achieve their potential. Neta’s areas of interest and experience include OCD, trichotillomania, skin picking, hoarding, anxiety, panic, trauma, and relationship concerns. Neta leads a weekly Hoarding support group and is passionate about working with individuals who suffer from trichotillomania – a condition with which she personally struggled for over 15 years, and was able to eventually overcome. She is a graduate of the Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (previously known as TLC) Professional Training Institute. Neta also enjoys working with couples to improve their communication, restore trust, and enhance their relationship.
Her approach to therapy includes implementing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Comprehensive Behavioral Therapy (ComB), mindfulness-based psychotherapy, processing past and present experiences, experiential techniques, and other evidence-based treatments.
Neta is dedicated to helping clients build insight and self-awareness by providing them with a warm, safe, and accepting space in which to develop the skills that will lead them to a healthier more empowered existence. She believes that looking at the connection between the mind, body, and emotions can help promote a more balanced life. Neta is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew.
